Acknowledgement
of Country
The Historical Castlemaine Cemetery Trust acknowledges that we are on Jaara country, and that the members and elders of the Dja Dja Wurrung community and their forebears have been custodians of this land for many centuries. We acknowledge their living culture and their unique role in the life of this nation. We pay respect to the elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people among us.
